FairTrade Devon
Fairtrade
What is Fairtrade? Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
What is Fairtrade Fortnight? For two weeks each year, thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to celebrate the people who grow our food, people who live in some of the poorest countries in the world and who are often exploited and badly paid.
Fairtrade Interns
Fairtrade Devon has a Social Media Team of three Interns, Corin, Fleur and Toby who will be helping to boost the message of Fairtrade and Fairtrade Fortnight on social media. Watch their video
Nestle, KitKat and Fairtrade
Nestle KitKats are no longer Fairtrade. From October 2020 Nestle stopped buying cocoa and sugar from farmers in Cote d’Ivoire, Fiji and Malawi on Fairtrade terms.
