DDE enjoyed celebrating Korean culture with Korean community in Exeter, sharing their traditions, stories, language, food.
A highlight of the workshop was learning about the Chuseok Festival, a special time of harvest, gratitude, and family connection. Participants explored Korean language and script, experienced traditional bowing, and discovered the cultural meaning behind these beautiful customs.

The day was filled with hands-on experiences too including learning how to make kimchi, enjoying dual-language storytelling, and hearing children’s songs that brought warmth and joy to the celebration.
Families also took part in traditional games, watched a Tae Kwon Do demonstration, and shared in a delicious Korean feast that brought everyone together in a spirit of generosity and community.
